At the Carnival!

We got a chance to spend a day at the little carnival in our town this past weekend! Everybody had a good time.

I took along the camera in anticipation of getting some great shots of the old carnival colors...as you can tell in my work, I get alot of my inspiration from the circus!

It was a bit disappointing to me this year, it is becoming more and more techno looking and less nostalgic. Even this quarter drop game that my kids spent hours trying for that $20 dollar bill just ready to drop.....just one more quarter Mom and I swear I'm gonna get that $20! Hahaha, I told them that those dollars are glued down and will never drop, they just want you to keep plunking your money in the machine!

But it was fun just watching the look on their faces everytime they dropped a quarter. It was such a ripoff game, that even the guy that runs it would go around and give players a handful of quarters just to keep you playing! (the guy with the hand in the picture was the worker- he thought I was taking random pictures of kids...like I was some stalker! I had to tell him I was the girls mother!

At least they still have the infamous carousel, it just wouldn't be a carnival without it!
