F is for FOX .......

Boy it has been a long time since I worked on a fox. I forgot how much fun this design is to make. I like doing the brush work. Old ToY RED FOX !!

WOW.... what can I say...this guy came out wonderful...he is my 3rd 10 inch size fox so far. I just love the charm I made..... I was delighted when I found this awesome vintage graphics of a Red Fox....a perfect accessory indeed ;) He is now on ebay .....and this is the first time I have offered these guys with a buy-it-now option as well. Another Whimsical RED FOX Available

My second RED FOX! For this guy I made a simple clown style ruff collar. This way he can still show off all his hand tinted markings ;) This one turned out slightly different than my first....for some reason his head seems slightly larger than my first fox. but he is still very cute. The first fox measured up at 10" but this one comes in at 11" (not including ears)....so I guess it just shows no matter how much an artist attempts to duplicate...no two pieces ever come out alike :)

NEW DESIGN...... a FOX !!!!

What better companion to go with my new HOUND DAWG design? The FOX, of course ;) You know the classic children's disney story...the Fox and the Hound...such a sweet story as well as wonderful characters to bring back to life ....in my own whimsical way;)

This guy has 3 different hand tinted markings all over his entire body. I love to do handtinting....it feeds my "artsy side of the brain"... rather than just working on the "structural" parts of my pieces. I am a self-taught artist as well as a self-taught pattern-maker. And developing new patterns gets really frustrating....but once you get it right....it is tremendously rewarding.....you can say, I did that all from scratch! Now all I need to do is turn him into an iTTY-BiTTY ...HAHAHA ;)

And, yes, I still have another new design sitting on the back burner.....I need to get that developed next.....stay tuned!
