WoW! I am honored & thrilled

I am pleased to announce that I have been chosen again for Top 200 Craftsman by the Early American Life Magazine! What an honor! This will be my 4th consecutive year.

Here is the press release:

National Magazine Honors Area Craftsperson

June 2007- Wendy Meagher of Whendi's Bears located in Constantia New York ranks as one of the top traditional artisans in America, according to a panel of experts convened by Early American Life magazine. The experts -consisting of curators from prestigious institutions, museums, antique dealers, independent scholars, and professional instructors- selected the top craftspeople working with traditional tools and techniques for the magazine's 22nd annual Directory of Traditional American Crafts. Meagher's handcrafted mohair teddy bears and other works showed mastery of the art form, heritage techniques, and workmanship, according to the judges.
