OLD Ellyfont & Shabby Butin-Buni

Do you love the old frumpy vintage shabby style? Yes, of course you do, you probably wouldn't be reading this blog if you didn't....LOL! Well, I just finished up two pieces that came out very nice indeed.....I just wanted to let you know I have these guys on Ebay right now with NO RESERVE and as a 1-Day auction as well...... Just click on my ebay button on the side to get there....
I just love the color of this little teacup Ellyfont....it is a fabulous very old blue/gray color (the pictures that I took make her look brighter than she really is). I don't have much of this color left, I hope I can mix it up again cuz it's just fantastic!

When hand dyeing your fabrics, it is so very hard to achieve the exact same color again....unless, of course, you are keeping track of mixing & measuring your ingredients.....(ahem--clearing throat) I must confess, I never measure ... I suppose I should start by jotting down in a booklet of my color concotions, then I could at least have a better chance of getting the color again :)
Love the little vintage flower button too.....I have had it for awhile and I finally found the right piece to use it....I added tiny scraps of vintage lace too! This butin-buni turned out so shabby and frumpy.....I can picture these guys sitting in a Vintage Easter Basket display with old colored eggs and other vintage Easter goodies.
