Vintage French Inspired !

My latest piece fresh from my studio.... and I am really pleased at the way she turned out! I was inspired by the antique french bisque Bebe Jumeau dolls and their costumes. Not to mention I love old shabby pinks and creams too!

Don't ya love it when you find new uses for something that is no longer useful!

Well, for this piece I did just that. Too Cool! I had a vintage french powder box sitting around in my stash of vintage goodies. While sewing the dress and trying to figure out what type of hat I was going to make her...I spied this box. Hmmmm, I thought, colors matched perfectly, and what a COOL idea if I used it as a hat! And this is what I came up with in the end......looks like and old vintage french style dolly hat that could have belonged to those really expensive antique French Bebe Jumeau dolls!

She is listed on ebay right now in case you want to check out more details.

Oh, my, I so LOVE this sweet bear. And your French Hat? Genius idea!! It's so great when you use something you have, and make a whole new life for it.

Wishing you a lovely weekend,
